CityScapes
Learning new skills and experimenting with new materials and techniques is essential to progressing as an artist. This work, World Cityscape, was one inspired by the trend of melting crayon art. This was years ago and I came across the artwork again and decided to revamp it with skills I am currently developing; digital art.
Digital art is very versatile as it can project all types of physical media, but with less mess and more possibilities and freedom. Digital art enters the sphere of the current day and intertwines with the age of technology, with all its possibilities and progressing tools.
This series of Cityscapes expresses the opposing ideas of travel and being home. This first one, ‘World Cityscape,’ expresses the adventures that occur in traveling the world with the colors evoking the fun and homesick emotions that occur in different moments on a trip. This work is a baseline for all the possibilities of cityscapes.
More Cityscapes are to come that will continue my development of digital art skills and introduce new cities, like my new home in Ohio and other locations that may represent hometowns to some and to others who see it, are travel destinations.
